Flooded Streets

A dreamlike scene with swans gliding on water, cruising along, where cars and pedestrians would normally be. The lake is in flood again and normality has been upended – the streets have turned into a strange underwater world.

Immersed in the water I watch as the dynamics of the flow reveal road markings and structures, distorted and unfamiliar. Layers of reality merge mysteriously and I try to decipher what is in front of me. I am captured by the patterns and drawn in by emotions of curiosity and discovery.

These images hold a beauty within – but also convey the power and threat of natural forces.
